The latest track by the American rapper is finally here after months of teasers and previews. “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” is Lil Nas X’s latest and highly-anticipated offering.
Titled after the artist’s legal name, Montero Lamar Hill, and the novel by André Aciman, Call Me By Your Name, the track features production from Take a Daytrip, Fedi and Roy Lenzo. Lyrically, Nas touches on intimate relationships, sexuality and fame, dropping lines like “Never want the n***as that’s in my league / I want to f*ck the ones I envy” and “Call me by your name / You told me you loved me in private / Call me by your name / I do not care if you lyin’.”
The music video is quite a treat too. It’s directed by Tanu Muino & Lil Nas X and features some awesome animation.
